Quick answer
Choosing between a refurbished and a new OpenRun Pro 2 comes down to a single trade-off: you get the same core audio experience and 12-hour battery life for roughly $50 less, but you give up the full warranty and brand-new packaging. For most runners and commuters, the refurbished model delivers everything that matters at a better price.
What stays the same
The refurbished OpenRun Pro 2 is not a stripped-down version. It uses the same Shokz DualPitch™ Technology for premium sound quality, delivers the same reduced-vibration experience so you enjoy music without tactile feedback, and offers the same up to 12-hour battery life with quick charge. The core bone conduction performance is identical to the new unit.
What changes with refurbished
The obvious difference is price: the refurbished model costs USD 127.76 compared to USD 179.95 for new. That $52 saving comes with a few trade-offs. The refurbished unit may show minor cosmetic wear, and it ships in a plain box rather than retail packaging. You also get a 45-Day Risk-Free Trial and free shipping, which is generous for a refurbished product but shorter than the standard new-unit warranty period.
